The talk will be followed by the monthly Qur'an Khatm The Qur'an is a preserved revelation, but it is not just the message that is preserved. The transmission is preserved with immense care, such that it is a science in and of itself. Join us as we discuss the transmission of the Qur'an and the importance of correct recitation and memorisation. There will be demonstrations of common mistakes in recitation and how they should be corrected, followed by a community Qur'an Khatam during which you can read as much or as little as you can. During the evening we will also be opening applications for the Mosque's new Adult Tilawat Course, for those who want to improve the correctness of their recitation.
