Mosque Reopening and COVID-19 Safety

Mosque Reopening and COVID-19 Safety

Friday 3rd July 2020

The Mosque is delighted to announce that we will be reopening for worshippers from Monday 6th July. Our priority is the health and safety of all visitors, staff and volunteers, so we have put social distancing and hygiene measures in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Our general opening times are from 11:00-19:30. For prayers outside of this period, the Mosque will open 15 minutes before each congregational prayer and close 15 minutes after. Worshippers will need to sign in on entry. Visit the Prayer Times page for full details of COVID-19 safety guidelines for worshipers and further clarification regarding the opening periods for daily prayers and Friday (Jum’a) prayer. Please continue to visit our website regularly for the latest updates.

The Islamic Garden is now open to all from 11:00-19:30, while we continue to follow the government guidelines on social distancing.

The Mosque will open for Friday (Jum’a) prayers starting from 10th July. Worshippers will need to register through an online booking system to attend the prayers, due to limited spaces being available. More details will be released shortly.

All worshippers must bring a personal prayer mat and a shoe bag, and are strongly advised not to bring any large bags.

The Mosque will have a strict one-way system in place, which worshippers must adhere to and follow instructions from staff and volunteers at all times.

If you are 70 years old and over, clinically vulnerable or pregnant, you are strongly advised to pray at home. Children under the age of 14 will not be allowed entry into the Mosque.
